ARTIST'S STATEMENT
My current work reflects a need to articulate visually what I feel so pressing internally: that is, a need for balance, and the fact that it so often is out of my reach.
I have come back to making art: digitally generated manipulated prints, paper plate lithographs, etching and encaustic collage, after 25 years of freelance graphic design and raising children (an ongoing process).
Currently I am working on digital images combined with woodcut, etching and other "traditional" printmaking methods, an extension of my art-making lifetime interest in combining the work of the camera eye and the artist hand.
